Blog Entry No. 1 — A series of thought-provoking and a woman of truth
Who would’ve thought that an inspirational woman among journalists does exist? She came to slay the bloody world of Journalism, where her life is always at stake for the well-presented truth she releases and her courageous act of contesting her interviewees. She is looked upon by many because of her ability to report news on Television or Radio and her unique way of broadcasting.
Karen Davila, a Filipino Broadcast Journalist known for her beliefs, intelligence, and thought-provocation, has caught my attention ever since I was young because of the way she presented herself on newscasts. Growing up and dreaming of my future, I look up to her as a phenomenal woman as she becomes my icon through pursuing Communication.
Davila has this special aura around her, she knows how to raise the right questions, and she is good at Investigative Journalism, reporting, and writing documentaries. In her 24 years of profession, she established her credibility by having several TV and Radio shows, volunteering at multiple non-government organizations, and receiving various local and international awards throughout her career.
She pursues truth while not forgetting her principles alongside establishing her presence in the media realm. Karen captured my heart among thousands of talented journalists because her work is remarkable amongst every single journalist out there. She made me dream of something I view as impossible, and she gave me the courage to work in her field without her knowing that she sparked someone’s purpose in life.
